Shnuopoka is not the typical Bengali rock band,because they cite Rabindra sangeet,Blink 182,The Beatles and Gulzar as their major influences.One can feel the difference in their execution and theme of songs like Ami Devdas Noi, which is a disavowal of the famous romantic trope of Devdas, while Jol Chokhe is again a soft romantic number,yearning for someone’s arrival.

Shnuopoka(Live Band):Shnuopoka is a Bengali band that plays fusion rock, pop, and rock music.Shnuopoka’s music is known for its innocence, simplicity, and diverse lyrics. Some say that the band’s lyrics are romantic, sentimental, and witty.The band released their first album, Shnuopoka Ek, which included songs like “Honeymoon-e”, “Ami Devdas Noi”, and “Kal Hobo Projapoti”.The title track, Shnuopoka has brought them some well-deserved recognition at the 24 Ghanta Band Carnival in 2015. The band, comprising members, Nilanjan Mandal (vocalist/ lyricist), Amrit Mukherjee (vocalist), Diptadeep Das (vocalist), Dibakar Pal (guitarist), Arpan Ghosh (drummer), Shouvik Seal (percussionist), Santanu Mondal (bassist) and Rajat Chakraborty (guitarist).
